Journey Announce New Album "Eclipse"

Well, the news is out! "Eclipse", the new Journey studio album, will be released on May 24th!
In North America, the album is available only at Walmart.

Frontiers Records will release the album in the rest of the world on, or close to, May 24th.
The twelve tracks were written over the past eighteen months by the core team of guitarist Neal Schon and keyboard player Jonathan Cain with collaboration from singer Arnel Pineda.

Stay tuned for more on Eclipse, as well as North American tour information!

So, it's out as originally announced over at http://www.melodicrock.com/ - Well, let's face it, Andrew is very close friends with Neal Schon! - Journey will be giving us a new album in 2011.
The above note is just how it is posted at Journey website ... The reference to newest member Arnel Pineda, is a little ..., erm, 'minimal' wouldn't you agree?
He is given a reference as a collaborator to both Schon and Cain ...
No mention of Ross Valory or Deen Castronova there, what does that mean .. They had no input?
Are they still in the band ....?

I would imagine so, since at Deen Castronova's website added this note:
'More 2011 tour dates have been posted for Deen and Journey. The tour will begin with some kick off dates in Las Vegas and Reno. Journey then heads off for stops in South America, Mexico and Puerto Rico. The European leg of the tour begins in June and winds up in early July playing at the Peace and Love Festival in Sweden. To view the full tour schedule, please visit the tour page. As more dates become available, we will post them! See you on the road in 2011!'

NOISECREEP.COM STREAMING NEW TRACK FROM KINGDOM COME
"RENDERED WATERS" IN STORES APRIL 5, 2011 ON SPV/STEAMHAMMER

Hard rock and heavy metal hub NOISECREEP.com is currently streaming one of the three brand new songs from KINGDOM COME's highly anticipated new release "Rendered Waters"
The album will be released in North America on April 5, 2011. Check out the track "Blue Trees" at http://www.noisecreep.com/2011/02/21/kingdom-come-blue-trees-song-premiere/

It is not the success of the early days which Lenny Wolf associates KINGDOM COME with, nor earlier hits from his long-standing career. What he really cares about is the present. Is this a contradiction in view of his new album Rendered Waters (out on April 5 in North America, March 25 in Germany and March 28 in Europe), which features eight old and three newly recorded songs? Certainly not, all eleven tracks were cut at Lenny's Two Square Noise Factory studio in Hamburg, Germany. In particular, the new recordings of old material show KINGDOM COME'S vision of living in the here and now. "I purposely chose tracks from the very early days to show how we play, hear and feel the songs nowadays," says Wolf. "Listening habits have changed dramatically, especially among the younger audience, which made it exciting for me to breathe new life into numbers which have not been heard for a while."

For example "Should I", this time is played more slowly lending it a heavier appeal. The drums are more open and the guitars, according to Lenny, feature a more tube-oriented sound and warmer, more driving tone: "Just to give it an overall 2011 vibe. Of course, you can only change songs to a certain extent if you don't want to lose the character and central theme of the original version." The same goes for "I've Been Trying", "Pushing Hard" and "Living Out Of Touch". None of them have been reinvented, but all three certainly have a noticeable new approach to them. On the other hand, Lenny changed the verse of "I've Been Trying" completely, giving it a different arrangement, just like he transported the song "Seventeen" into the year 2011. "Seventeen" has always been kind of a key song for KINGDOM COME, yet it has never received much attention since it has a very non-commercial approach and is either loved or hated, but with the new version it will hopefully get the recognition it deserves."
