News Update for Monday December 5th, 2011

Hi folks, ah, the best laid plans and all that good stuff ...
What can I say, another busy weekend and sadly I don't see it getting much easier between now and Christmas ...
I had planned to try and get to THOSE interviews, long overdue for posting ... - Boy, I wish I had an assistant! - and of course, so many reviews I'm so far behind on ...
Last week, the day was a whole bunch of late nights at the office, so very little time for the site, which you probably guessed as much, from what little I had posted. This weekend, I owed it to my family to give some time their way, after coming home most nights last week from work and the kids were already sleeping. Not cool ...

So anyway, here's another week we're into, in December and it's less than three weeks until Christmas Day, unreal ...
You know what, the site is coming up on it's second anniversary since kicking this thing off in 2009 and it's almost at 100,000 hits / views ...!
Thank you all for coming back and for spreading the word, those that do ... Cheers!
I do appreciate it, even if numbers are down lately but no doubt that's due to Thanksgiving here and Christmas fast approaching too.
I hope you'll all be here checking out 'Chambers of Rock' in 2012 too!
Have a great week folks, on with the news, here you go ..., sorry there's not more?! Cheers, Al

Marco Mendoza Band Brings The Show To Europe

As mentioned here previously, bassist Marco Mendoza (Thin Lizzy / Whitesnake / Blue Murder / Ted Nugent / Soul Sirkus), is soon to hit Europe for some solo gigs of his own.
Marco will be touring of course to help plug his latest solo album, 'Casa Mendoza' but with the band he's got in support, it's quite likely you'll hear material from his 'Live For Tomorrow' album too if you catch him.

Marco Mendoza, bass wizard for Thin Lizzy, is bringing his style of rock and roll to Europe for a short pre-Christmas run.
Playing in his band are Soren Andersen (Glenn Hughes), Allan Tschicaja (Pretty Maids) and Anders Bo (Medina). Come and check out this great opportunity to see these master musicians play up close and personal. For more info, check out marcomendoza.com

What about a Runaways reunion then?

House of Hair recently learned through an interview posted in the Naperville Sun that there could just be, a form of reunion on the cards for Seventies all girl rockers, The Runaways!
This story posted over at their site:

A Runaways reunion? Metal queen Lita Ford (pictured, back row far left) would be up for it!
Lita recently spoke with the Naperville Sun about her former band, which called it quits in ’79 (drummer Sandy West (RIP) died in ‘06).

When asked if there would be a Runaways reunion, she said, “I would love it. I can't answer that question, but I would love it.” Lita added, “We were ahead of our time. We inspired so many different artists, and not just girls.”
Lita also talked about her upcoming album, which was written during her bitter divorce from husband Jim Gillette. “The songs are great,” she said, “I'm so happy with them. It's some of the best stuff I’ve ever written. That's what good songs are made of, real-life stories.” While the songs came from a sad place, Lita feels they’re relatable. “A lot of people will be able to relate in many different ways. If you lose a job or a boyfriend or a loved one, of if you're just having a bad day. There are songs about hurtful things, and songs about how to overcome those hurtful things. Musically, everything is just as rocking….it's a very inspiring album for a lot of people. I'm looking forward to people hearing it. It's an empowering album and it really comes from the heart.”
Lita hopes to have the new album out in spring 2012.
