News Update for Tuesday January 3rd, 2012

Are Van Halen to spill the beans on Thursday, at New York gig?

OK, here we go again ... Another rumour or fact ..?
Chances are this time, it's fact, as the word over at the Van Halen news desk website - www.VHND.com - is that they ARE aware that reporters across New York are being invited to a special one off gig at the city's Cafe Wha? in Greenwich Village.
VHND.com has learned this from a report by Rolling Stone's Andy Greene, so if this is wrong, unlike the Grammy fiasco that never was, there IS at least one name that has leaked this information.

At the Van Halen official website, they have already given away that the US tour dates are to be revealed on January 5th, 2012 and I guess this gig is as good as any to do so!
Word is that the band will play a 45 minute set, their first public live performance since the 2007/8 tour.

The venue seems a strange launch pad, as it only has a 250 seating capacity, but there's apparently a connection with the place in so much as David Lee Roth's Uncle, Manny Roth used to own and operate the place, back in Jimi Hendrix' days.

The full story can be checked out here: http://www.vhnd.com/ and original Rolling Stone online magazine link:

Hopefully the OFFICIAL Van Halen website will actually provide confirmed information around or after events on Thursday, that link is here: http://www.van-halen.com/

The new 4 song EP captures the thrill and excitement of her full-throttle lifestyle!
Heather's voice is sultry yet powerful as she belts her way through this series of classically written, hook-driven, heavy rock songs. Breaking Me Down, is a memorable ballad with heart-felt vocals and a sweet guitar solo. Nothing Left To Lose, features a heavier vibe with dark guitar tones and a killer riff. All songs were written in collaboration with Steve Brown and showcase some outstanding guitar work from industry veterans Paul Crook (Meatloaf) and Eddie Ojeda (Twisted Sister).
