Well, here you go, amidst all the turmoil with Queensryche over the last couple of weeks, now comes this from Geoff Tate in response to the other band members announcing that they have fired Geoff from the band.

GEOFF TATE, the legendary Queensryche frontman and one of the most acclaimed vocalists in the history of hard rock and heavy metal, has signed a worldwide recording contract with INSIDEOUT MUSIC.

"I'm very excited to join forces with InsideOut Music," says Geoff Tate (Official) of his multi-album deal. "They are very committed to progressive music and care deeply for their artists, working together with them to bring music lovers worldwide some of the most compelling rock music available."

As the frontman of Queensryche, GEOFF TATE has sold more than 20 million records and received four Grammy nominations. The band's landmark concept album 'Operation: Mindcrime' thrust their unique social consciousness, expertly crafted lyrics and progressive style into the national spotlight in 1988, and was followed by 'Empire' in 1990, the album that delivered the band to arena-headlining status and sold more than three million albums on the back of hit singles "Silent Lucidity" and "Jet City Woman."

By the time Queensryche released 'Promised Land' in 1994, Tate was universally acknowledged as one of the greatest frontmen in rock and metal, and a driving force behind progressive metal's most innovative force in mainstream music. Queensryche have released 12 studio albums, with one of their most overlooked gems being 'American Soldier' in 2009, Tate's ambitious concept album that explores the consequences of war as told through the voices of veterans.
"Obviously, we at the label have been fans of Geoff for a long time," says InsideOut Music founder Thomas Waber. "We are looking forward to working with such a renowned musician - welcome to the InsideOut Music family!"

GEOFF TATE is currently finishing production on his first InsideOut Music release. The album is planned for release this fall, with details to be announced in the coming weeks.
Tate joins an InsideOut Music roster that includes Devin Townsend, Genesis guitarist Steve Hackett, King's X, Fates Warning, Dream Theater frontman James Labrie, The Flower Kings, Arjen Anthony Lucassen, Pain Of Salvation and more.

New music coming soon from Richie Sambora

I have to say that this guy, Richie Sambora deserves more credit than Jon Bon Jovi ever does! There, I said it!

I'm sorry, but Jon Bon Jovi is shielded totally by his 'special' people - I was going to use another term, but thought better of it ... - that he 'could' be drinking himself, out of his mind everyday and you'd never know it ...
He could be doing ..., who knows what in his little empire, you'd never know, but Richie Sambora ... The guy who has co-written so much material for the band, he sings so well on harmony vocals for the band, but then all this crap with his personal life ... What lowlife's are out there, doing this?
When the guy needed help, who was there ...?
Sad indeed ...

It's great to see him coming back strong and with news of a new album to be released later this year, it's better still!
The man's solo work, really speaks for itself. To me, it's so much more mature than Bon Jovi (The bands) music, much more so with Bon Jovi's recent country directional twist ...

So, I understand through Richie's Facebook - Don't know if it's official or not, that's the only thing ... - that he's been working on a new album and even my old friend and Richie's ex-brother-in-law, Stuart Smith (Heaven and Earth) has told me that what Richie has been doing sounds good, from when he went over to Richie's place to borrow a guitar to use on the latest Heaven and Earth recordings.

Someone has got hold of some soundbites - That I hope are still here, when you check them! - of apparently four songs from Richie's new album, which is again ..., apparently due for release in September.
All the music samples posted on You Tube here in a medly - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gWp46ZYZNHA&feature=player_embedded - sound great to me!

I for one, really look forward to new music from Richie, which is more than I can say about Bon Jovi these days ... No pun intended!
Bring on the new sounds Richie! I love it!

The Richie Sambora website, is currently going through an update at http://richiesambora.com/ but go there to sign up for updates, then you'll know what I know ..., when I know it too!

Fan's of Blackmore's Night? New release coming soon!

From the latest 'trip' that is Blackmore's Night. Yes, Ritchie Blackmore's escapade from rock, there's a new live DVD and CD. That is in the USA ...
In Europe, it's going out as a package.
Here's the press blurb, from the label site ...

When Blackmore’s Night rolled in to York, England, on 30 September 2011, the heat scorched the medieval streets and the sunlight bathed the old city walls.

Inside the Grand Opera House, Ritchie Blackmore, Candice Night and their band of minstrels were generating their own heat as they took their devoted audience on a musical journey through the ages with songs from their two new albums, Secret Voyage and Autumn Sky, such as ‘Locked Within The Crystal Ball,’ ‘Darkness’ plus a new interpretation of ‘First Of May’ – a rarely played ballad, originally done by the Bee Gees, and an additional smattering of songs from earlier albums, most notably the classic ‘Fires At Midnight.’
The third Blackmore’s Night DVD release A Knight In York captures all the magic of this stunning Blackmore’s Night show.

Here's the tracklisting:

01  Locked Within The Crystal Ball
02  Gilded Cage
03  The Circle
04  Journeyman
05  World Of Stone
06  The Peasant‘s Promise
07  Toast To Tomorrow
08  Fires At Midnight
09  Barbara Allen
10  Darkness
11  Dance Of The Darkness
12  Dandelion Wine
13  All The Fun Of The Fayre
14  First Of May

 Release Dates:
Europe: June 29th, 2012 | UK: July 02nd, 2012

No mention of a release date for US territory, but if you go to Amazon.com, you find that yes, the CD will be available on July 3rd.

Sadly (Perhaps!), for US fans ..., the DVD will not be available through Amazon.com until July 10th and then only as an import.
Now isn't that weird, since the band's HQ is right here in the USA!

CANDLELIGHT RED SECURES SPOT ON 2012 ROCKSTAR ENERGY DRINK UPROAR FESTIVAL!

SEVENDUST DRUMMER MORGAN ROSE TO PRODUCE NEW CANDLELIGHT RED EP.

It seems like Candlelight Red are refusing to take a rest from their breakneck 2012 schedule - in addition to recently issuing their debut full-length disc, 'The Wreckage' (and single, "She's Got the Look"), the band has secured a spot on the 2012 Rockstar Energy Drink UPROAR Festival - which they will start a month after wrapping up nationwide tours with Lacuna Coil and Crossfade.

The group will be rocking on one of two "Festival Stages," which will also include POD, Deuce, Fozzy, Redlight King, Mindset Evolution, In This Moment, and Thousand Foot Krutch. And on the "Main Stage" will be Shinedown, Godsmack, Staind, Papa Roach, and Adelitas Way.

Live Nation is the national tour promoter for the Rockstar Energy Drink UPROAR Festival, and the tour will play more than 30 shows throughout North America during August and September. “We’re really excited about this year’s awesome lineup,” say tour producers John Oakes and John Reese. “It’s incredible to have so many of the biggest bands in rock together with some newer bands that are blowing up. By adding a second stage to the festival area and including even more great talent, we’re stepping things up a notch for the UPROAR fans.”

"Being on UPROAR is a huge honor. To be playing on a tour with some of the biggest bands in rock today is very humbling!" - Jeremy Edge

"This is a tremendous opportunity, a sign of many good things to come for Candlelight Red" - Brian Dugan

Hailing from Central PA, Candlelight Red (which includes vocalist Ryan Hoke, guitarist Jeremy Edge, bassist Jamie Morral, and drummer Brian Dugan), has been scoring big on radio and in the hard rock press, as evidenced by a review on www.welovemetal.com, which raved “CANDLELIGHT RED might be the one great hope: a band that can play to the rock fans and head bang the metal fans.”

Candlelight Red has been steadily expanding their fan base after inking their record deal with Imagen Records in late 2010. The band is already road warriors, as evidenced by recently completed nationwide tours with Sevendust, 10 Years, Saving Abel and Egypt Central. And with their just-announced spot on this year's UPROAR Festival, Candlelight Red is just about ready to hit the big time.

Speaking of Sevendust, When Candlelight Red recently toured with Sevendust, they automatically struck up a friendship with drummer Morgan Rose.

Realizing that they saw completely eye-to-eye musically, it made perfect sense for Rose to produce Candlelight Red - which will soon become a reality, as both factions will work together on an EP.

"While having Candlelight Red on tour with Sevendust, I was able to get familiar with their music and build a friendship with some of the band members," explains Rose. "So when they approached me with a desire for me to produce them, I jumped at the opportunity. After talking about what our goals were for the recording, we were happy to realize our goals were one and the same. To capture the band's live sound is the objective, and it's gonna happen. I'm beyond excited to get these songs finished and out to their fans!"

And CR guitarist Jeremy Edge shares Rose's excitement regarding the upcoming sessions (which will soon commence at Arkitekt Studios in Butler, New Jersey, with Mike Ferretti serving as engineer). "We are beyond pumped to have Morgan work with us! He is not only one of the world's most phenomenal rock drummers, He is a guy that really gets what the sound and energy of our band is all about. We are going to have some of the most intense CR material our fans have heard yet!"
Look for the EP to be released on August 14th, 2012!
