Gibson Guitar's website reveals details on Dweezil Zappa's forthcoming allstar album

Dweezil Zappa told The Huffington Post - http://www.huffingtonpost.com/mike-ragogna/emreturn-of-the-son-ofem_b_644624.html - that he has lined up about 30 different legendary musicians to guest star on his next album. Among the famous guitarists: Eddie Van Halen, Brian May, Steve Vai, Steve Morse, Angus Young, Malcolm Young, Yngwie Malmsteen and Warren DeMartini.
The son of rock legend Frank Zappa describes the project as an “audio movie.”
“I recorded a bunch of different music that all segues together, so it’s constantly morphing and turning,” he said. “Each little segment has its own little audio environment, and then you have these cameo appearances by all these different guitar players who sort of start falling out of the speakers.”
“The Van Halen thing is pretty funny because I put this section together where I asked Edward to play sort of a ‘greatest-hits’ from all his different guitar licks. We just took different licks from different solos from different records and made him play them all and string them together in one guitar solo. That was pretty fun because it was like having your own toy Eddie Van Halen – like, ‘I’ll make my Eddie Van Halen play this.’”

Heaven & Hell To Perform A Tribute To Ronnie James Dio At High Voltage Festival, London, Saturday 24th July 2010.
Proceeds to be donated to the Ronnie James Dio “Stand Up And Shout” Cancer Fund- Official Festival Charity.
Remaining Heaven & Hell members Tony Iommi, Geezer Butler and Vinny Appice are set to play a one off show to celebrate Ronnie’s life and work at High Voltage Festival, London on 24th July 2010. The band will be completed by Glenn Hughes and Jorn Lande who will both contribute vocals.
Former Deep Purple / Black Sabbath star Glenn Hughes was a close friend of Ronnie’s for many years and performed a musical tribute at Ronnie’s funeral service in Los Angeles. Norwegian Jorn Lande is best known in the UK as the vocalist for power metal band Masterplan, he has also released many solo albums including a tribute to Ronnie. It promises to be a fitting celebration to a man that the metal scene owes so much.
There will also be an opportunity to pay respects by signing a condolence book in the Ronnie James Dio Tribute Gallery, which will be presented to members of the Ronnie James Dio “Stand Up And Shout” Cancer Fund the official festival charity, and join thousands of fans for what will be a very emotional performance.

Angelfire project featuring Steve Morse and Sarah Spencer
Angelfire is the collaboration between guitarist and songwriter Steve Morse and singer/songwriter Sarah Spencer. Their eponymous debut combines Morse's jazz fusion, bluegrass and baroque elements with Spencer's folk and pop acoustic.
Steve is best known as a guitarist and composer who combines multiple genres of music in unique and unexpected ways. His career has encompassed jazz fusion pioneers Dixie Dregs, progressive rock mainstays KANSAS, and his ongoing solo work. For the past 15 years, Steve has been the guitarist with metal icons Deep Purple. His accolades include Guitar Player's Best Overall Guitarist" poll for five years running and six Grammy nominations.
Sarah, 22, writes and performs songs on piano and guitar. At 14, she was cast in a VH1 reality show (ultimately cancelled) that followed the lives of teenage prodigies. Writing operatic pop genre and soundtrack-style songs, she began working with established producers during her teens, recording live-orchestral songs. More recently, her songs have incorporated elements of folk music.
Their collaboration represents several firsts for them both. Even after 44 albums, Steve has never written a vocal album. Sarah is stepping out front as a performer and songwriter. And despite their cumulative experience spanning multiple genres of music, neither has written anything that sounds like Angelfire.
