Foreigner to Play Prestigious iTunes Festival

Rock icons, Foreigner, really 'Can’t Slow Down' and have added an appearance at London’s prestigious iTunes Festival to their 2010 accomplishments.

2010 has proved a busy year for the multi-platinum selling band: they released the critically acclaimed album Can’t Slow Down, which includes radio hits - When It Comes to Love and Fool For You Anyway (produced by Grammy & Brit winning Mark Ronson) and by the end of the year, will have completed over 100 live dates on 2 continents.

Foreigner have now been added to the iTunes line-up, and will perform at London’s legendary Roundhouse on Sunday, 25th July. On the same day, the band release their new download single Can’t Give Up.

The iTunes Festival runs for the entire month of July - that’s 31 nights of music, featuring over 60 diverse artists in a supremely intimate venue. Foreigner’s performance will be available to download exclusively from iTunes 48 hours after the show and the highlights of this year’s festival can been seen of ITV 1 & ITV 2, as well as being broadcast on XFM.

Tickets are free for fans of iTunes and customers of iTunes. Tickets can be applied for on the Festival’s facebook page. For more information go to:-
or

Foreigner will also perform at the High Voltage Festival in Victoria Park on Saturday 24th July.

Everyone knows more Foreigner than they think … classics such as Cold As Ice, Waiting for a Girl Like You and the number 1 hit I Want to Know What Love Is are the reason the band have racked up more than 70 million album sales worldwide! Foreigner‘s mix of blustery blues and impeccably crafted pop continues to captivate generation after generation of music fans.

Of their forthcoming iTunes Festival appearance, founder member, Mick Jones, says “We're really buzzed about our upcoming show at the Round House. The heat is on us to give a killer performance and play the best we can for the live recording on iTunes and we're ready to roll”!

Kelly Hansen, lead vocals, says “I think it’s great to record and release a live show immediately. It may not be perfect, but it separates the men from the boys. Too many groups now get away with murder and aren’t really performing “live”. This iTunes presentation will capture a moment in time, at this awesome, historic venue. And it will also capture, the naked energy that makes every live show unique!”

Founder member Mick Jones - lead guitars and vocals - is joined by Kelly Hansen on lead vocal (ex Hurricane); Tom Gimbel (long term touring with Aerosmith) on guitar, saxophone, flute and backing vocals; on keyboards, Michael Bluestein (Stevie Nicks, Enrique Iglesias and Anastacia); Jeff Pilson (ex Dokken, Dio and MSG) on bass; and on drums, Jason Sutter (Chris Cornell, Smash Mouth).

ROCK & POP MASTERS? BRING CLASSIC ROCK TO THE TROOPS SLATED TO PLAY TO THE MILITARY ON THE 4TH OF JULY

The U.S. troops in Kuwait and Iraq are in for a treat in June and July.
All-star rock aggregation, Rock & Pop Masters? is heading out to the Middle East to entertain the military. Rock & Pop Masters ? (RPM) is a revolving feast made up of over 30 star classic rock
singers and an all-star band. Please visit:

The founder, bandleader and driving force behind RPM is Larry Hoppen who is also a founding member and "the voice" of Top 5 charting group, Orleans. Orleans (http://www.orleansonline.com/) is still going strong after 38 years and who can ever forget their smash hits, Still The One, Dance With Me and Love Takes Time? Larry also brings multi- instrumental talents to the party being a fine guitarist, keyboard player and trumpeter.

Joining Larry on this tour are Jimi Jamison, Joe Bouchard, Alex Ligertwood and Skip Martin as well as the RPM All-Star Band.

Jimi Jamison (http://www.jimijamison.com/) was the lead singer of Survivor®.
While with the band, he had massive hits with Burning Heart, High On You, The Search is Over and I Can't Hold Back. He also wrote and sang I'm Always Here, the TV Theme from Baywatch.

Joe Bouchard (http://www.joebouchard.com/) was a founding member of Blue Öyster Cult®. While a member of BOC, Joe scored hits with (Don't Fear) The Reaper, Godzilla and Burning For You. Gaining his masters degree in music, Joe has morphed his musical talents into becoming an educator.

Alex Ligerwood (www.myspace.com/alexligertwood) who hails from Glasgow, Scotland is best known as being the lead singer of Santana. However, Alex has also performed with the Jeff Beck Group, Brian
Auger's Oblivion Express and Average White Band. While with Santana, Alex had major hits with Winning and Hold On.

Skip Martin (http://www.skipmartinmusic.com/) has been the lead singer with two major funk groups, the Dazz Band and Kool &The Gang. While with the Dazz Band, Skip was a Grammy winner for the smash hit, Let it Whip. While with Kool & The Gang, Skip was also the recipient of the MOBO Awards 2003 Outstanding Achievement Award. As well being a fine vocalist, Skip is also an excellent trumpet player.

The RPM All-Star is filled to the brim with legendary musicians.
Charlie Morgan (http://www.manicdrums.com/), as well as being Orleans' drummer, filled that role with skill and style for some 13 years with Elton John. It's his beat that holds together Elton's re-recording of Candle in the Wind, which was THE tribute to Princess Diana. As a studio drummer, Charlie has recorded with legends such as Paul McCartney, Kate Bush, Gary Moore and Justin Hayward.

John Jorgenson (http://www.johnjorgenson.com/) is known as the guitarist's guitarist. Also an alumnus of Elton's band, John played with the Desert Rose Band and has supported artists as diverse as Barbra Streisand and Bonnie Raitt. His recent tribute album to Django Reinhardt, One Stolen Night, is a masterpiece.

Lance Hoppen is along with Charlie Morgan the engine room that drives Orleans. Like brother Larry, Lance was a founder member of Orleans.
Although primarily playing bass, Lance is a multi instrumentalist who switches to rhythm guitar and percussion with consummate ease. Lance has worked with Baillie & The Boys and as bandleader for Suzy Bogguss and Andy Griggs. He has also emerged as a fine songwriter.
Lane Hoppen is someone you will hear but don't always see on stage.
Surrounded by his keyboards, he brings wonderful musical patterns to both Orleans and RPM.
Lane has backed up such national acts as the Blues Brothers, Sonny Girasi, The Tokens, The Coasters and The Platters.
