Another welcome addition to Eagle Rock’s Rockpalast DVD series, Nils Lofgren’s Cry Tough is an incredible live showcase of the guitar virtuoso, with performances from 1976, 1979, and 1991. This 2 DVD set, following up concerts from Joan Armatrading, Meat Loaf, Thin Lizzy, and UB40 on the German TV program, captures Lofgren stepping into the spotlight as a soloist, after turns with Neil Young’s Crazy Horse and Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band.

Roy Orbison / The Last Concert / CD
The instantly recognizable vocals, heart-on-sleeve songwriting, and unmistakable style of Roy Orbison is embedded in American’s musical tapestry. The Last Concert, captured from his December 4, 1988 concert in Cleveland, OH, is a perfect homage to such a pristine and unforgettable artist. Performed just two days before his passing, this fourteen-song collection is the exact set list he played that evening, including seven top 10 singles such as “Oh, Pretty Woman” and the Grammy-Award Winning “Crying.”
Originally released as a limited run via iTunes in 2008, this historic performance, untouched by mixing or enhancements, is now available on CD for the first time. It truly captures one of the best rock ‘n’ roll singers of all time.

Black Label Society / Doom Troopin’ Live – The European Invasion / Blu-ray

Doom Troopin’ Live follows their 2005 trek around Europe, for a sold out tour supporting the Mafia album. This 16-song set in Paris is completed with extensive bonus features, including four tracks from their Astoria show in London, music videos, and “Backstage Pass” – a 50-minute documentary following BLS on the road. Jane’s Addiction / Live Voodoo / DVD and Blu-ray
Live Voodoo, Jane’s Addiction’s first ever live DVD, captures a musical celebration at the Voodoo Experience in New Orleans in 2009. Filmed on Halloween night, the reunion of the original lineup – guitarist Dave Navarro, bassist Eric Avery, drummer Stephen Perkins, and ever-enigmatic frontman Perry Farrell – proved they still have that flawless, ferocious flair that conquered the hard rock world of the late eighties/early nineties. Setting in motion a lasting alt-rock legacy, they are seen performing staples predominantly from their first two albums. The band worked their magic over the crowd, proving that a Jane’s Addiction show is more than just a concert – it’s an experience.

Barclay James Harvest / Berlin – A Concert For The People / DVD

They played this historic concert to Germany’s divided capital city, which was still sliced in half by the Berlin Wall. Mystify features their 1997 concert at the Loreley Festival in Germany, filmed for the Rockpalast TV series just five months before the premature passing of frontman Michael Hutchence. Not only does this DVD include performances of all seven of their US Top-10 singles, but six bonus tracks from their 1984 Rockpalast appearance.

Released on October 12th, 2010
Dio / Holy Diver Live / Blu-ray
One of the greatest hard rock singers of all time, the late Ronnie James Dio brought a stylized, sophisticated nature to the heavy side of rock. He and his band, Dio, whipped the London crowd at the Astoria Theater into a frenzy when they took the stage and plowed through the classic Holy Diver album in its entirety. Holy Diver Live features not only this 2005 performance, which is also peppered with choice tunes from RJD’s Black Sabbath and Rainbow days, but a bonus band interview. Originally released on DVD in 2006, this high-def version is a fitting tribute to a true icon.

Rolling Stones / Ladies & Gentlemen / DVD and Blu-ray
Just after the release of Stones in Exile, which took viewers through the making of the Rolling Stones’ seminal album Exile on Main Street, Eagle Rock Entertainment is proudly presenting us with a taste of their live experience. Billed as “the most powerful rock film ever made,” Ladies & Gentlemen was filmed over the course of four nights in Texas during the “Exile on Main Street” tour in 1972. This fully restored and remastered masterpiece, which premiered at the Ziegfield Theatre in New York in 1974 and played in select US theatres, is the first fully authorized DVD and Blu-ray release of the film.

Twisted Sister / Live at Wacken / DVD/CD
