Slight Update for Friday April 29th, 2011

Bon Jovi to continue live shows, minus Richie Sambora, as he heads back to rehab

Well, well, well ... Things are not well in the Bon Jovi camp and I for one, am stunned that the band intend to carry on with their present tour dates, without Richie Sambora.
He's had publicized problems in the past with having to go into rehab and it seems he's back there again now.
The poor guy has also been through some rough personal times too, that again were heavily publicized.
He's also had a big bust up with Jon Bon Jovi in the past before over his solo career and who's writing which songs, etc, where he said to some factions that he was indeed, leaving the band.
That seemed to have been put to rest and they both publicly appeared together for press conferences saying all was great ... It seems not so right now.

One of the things that stuns me, is that we never hear of Jon Bon Jovi going through anything like this and to be honest, I think the guy is so protected, that we never would, even if / when he does or has!

Various sites are picking up on the story and many are referencing the http://www.radaronline.com/ 'exclusive' story on Sambora, which can be read here:

Bon Jovi's website made this statement, which is a little empty if you ask me:

BON JOVI TO CONTINUE TOUR - April 28, 2011

In response to questions about Richie Sambora and Bon Jovi's upcoming performance schedule, the band released the following statement today:

"Our support for Richie is absolute. He is, and will remain, a member of Bon Jovi. Although he will be absent from upcoming shows for the time being, we very much look forward to his healthy return. In the meantime, we will keep our commitment to our fans and continue our tour."

I for one, wish Richie well, his own solo albums to me have been excellent and he is clearly a unique part on Bon Jovi 'the band,' always has been and well, should continue to be, unless Bon Jovi simply becomes the 'Jon Bon Jovi band ....'

As a music fan though, I guess I wonder who on earth they will acquire to replace the talented guitarist / singer / songwriter?
Sad times indeed ....

Steven Tyler new solo single and book on the way

Steven Tyler's New Single, 'It Feels So Good'
On May 3rd, Steven Tyler will release his autobiography "Does the Noise In My Head Bother You?" and it will be accompanied by the first solo single of his entire career "It Feels So Good."

Catch the premiere of "It Feels So Good" on Ryan Seacrest's Show May 9 and pick it up on iTunes the following day (May 10).

"I can hear it coming out of people's cars this summer"
- Steven Tyler

I wonder if they'll be a full album? I guess we'll have to wait and see on that one!

Really folks, that's all I have for you right now, I told you before that generally it's quiet.
Enjoy your weekend and here's wishing William and Kate all the best on their special day!
Cheers,
Al
